As strong storms moved throughout the listening area last night, a possible tornado and straight-line winds did some damage in the Mtn Home area last night. The ASU Campus, Medical Center and Rehab Center received some damages and around 900 residents were without power from downed power lines. Hardest hit was in and around the Gamaliel and Mallard Point areas. No major injuries have been reported. More assessment of the damages will be observed throughout today and the weather service is working to determine if a tornado did occur. Torrential rainfall was also a factor in last night’s storms as they covered the Ozarks, flash flooding was a possibility but we’ve as of yet to receive reports of any flooding which would have mainly been in low lying areas and low water bridges.
