Locals Recognized by Missouri FFA Association

The Missouri FFA Association recognized Christian Hirsch of the Thayer FFA Chapter as the Area 13 Star in Placement at the 90th Missouri FFA Convention. Hirsch is the son of Larry and Betty Hirsch of Thayer. His advisor is Marcus Orf.  Area Stars in Placement are selected based upon outstanding achievement in work experience in an agricultural business as a part of a student’s supervised agricultural experience program and active participation in FFA. Area 13 includes 22 chapters in the South Central District.
After high school graduation, Hirsch plans to study feed science and agricultural business at Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, with future plans to bring knowledge he gains back to his family farm or work for a feed company. (Photo Provided)

 

The Missouri FFA Association also recognized Matthew Price of the Mountain View-Birch Tree FFA Chapter as the Area 13 Star Farmer at the 90th Missouri FFA Convention. His parents are Shawn Argabright and Stephanie Beltz-Price of Mountain View. His advisors are Krista Nicholson and Marc Cornman.  After graduation, Price plans to study agricultural education at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He plans to return home to operate his own farm.
