After a nearly a 16-month investigation, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Glenda Mason Young, age 69 of Ava, for 1st Degree Murder for the death of her late husband. The arrest came after Young was indicted by a Douglas County Grand Jury, after evidence was presented regarding the death of her husband David Raymond Young, who was 61, at the time of his death. The murder occurred at their home in the Squires area, in January of 2017. The case was thoroughly investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Young was arrested May 1, 2018, at her
home in Wright County. Glenda Young’s bond was set at $200,000 cash only by Associate Circuit Judge Elizabeth Bock. Glenda Young is currently incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail.
