Teen From Licking Injured Monday

A Teenager from Licking suffered serious injuries in an accident south of Licking Monday morning. According to the Highway Patrol report, 17 year old Kyra Burris was injured when she drove off the road and attempted to avoid a guardrail, slide across the road on the opposite side, hit a guard rail and overturned. Her car then hit an embankment and came to rest in a creek. She was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital then flown to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on highway 63 about a mile south of Licking around 5:45 Monday morning.
