The St. Louis Cardinals dropped one to the Miami Marlins at Busch last night 7-4. Carlos Martinez was limited in his return to the starting rotation, pitching 4 innings and giving up 2 runs. Yadier Molina had an RBI single in his return to the line-up. Marcel Ozuna and Matt Carpenter each had 3 hits for the Redbirds in the loss.
The Cards and Marlins play again tonight in St. Louis, Jack Flaherty will start for the Cards.
The Kansas City Royals managed just one hit last night in Los Angeles, and lost to the Angels 1-0. The only run of the game came on a double steal.
The Royals will try to avoid a sweep at LA tonight with Ian Kennedy on the hill.
