The St. Louis Cardinals have lost 2 straight, losing last night to the Miami Marlins 11-3. The Marlins pounded Cardinal pitching for 17 hits and will go for the sweep at Busch this afternoon.
*Before the game last night, the Cardinals announced that Hall of Famer Red Schoendienst has died at age 95. “Red” won World Series titles as a player, coach and manager as a St. Louis Cardinal.
*The Cards also announced that pitcher Alex Reyes had season ending surgery yesterday to repair his “Lat”.
The Kansas City Royals were swept out of LA, losing to the Angels 4-3 last night. KC opens a series at Oakland tonight.
