New Restrictions for Feeding Deer In Missouri

The Missouri Department of Conservation has expanded its restrictions on feeding deer and placing mineral to 7 new counties in response to finding cases of Chronic Wasting disease in or near those counties.  The new counties are Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Grundy, Madison, McDonald, Mercer and Perry.  The ban becomes effective July 1st.  They have also increased the antlerless permits and expanded the firearms antlerless portion of the deer season to help harvest more deer in those counties in an effort to limit the spread.  The 7 new counties join 41 others in the state with a ban on feeding deer.  Get more information at MDC.gov.
