Authorities are looking for an Izard County woman after two children tested positive for drugs. 28 year old Megan Cannon of Sylamore has been charged with 2 counts of child endangerment. Her two children both tested positive for drugs after hair samples indicated that 1 juvenile had been exposed to cannibis and the other juvenile tested positive for meth. The investigation started when a babysitter took one of the children to the doctor for a rash and the Doctor reported to the child abuse hotline suspecting the baby had been subjected to sexual abuse. Cannon was located in Kansas City, was arrested and tested positive for meth, she admitted to smoking meth in her children’s presence. She fled from police and remains at large. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Megen Cannon is asked to call the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.
