A man is in custody in Independence County in connection with a deadly shooting on Monday. 33c year old John Goodman of Newark was arrested and faces first degree murder charges in the death of 27 year old Steven Reed who was found just inside a doorway of a home on north Locust Street in Newark. The Sheriff’s Department says the gun used in the incident was stolen in Missouri.
