Two Texas County Residents were arrested after a traffic stop on highway 17. 23 year old Melissa Shafer of Houston is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts of felony endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor charge of no insurance. 29 year old Erik Warren of Summersville is charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance and 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Both Shafer and Warren allegedly admitted to snorting meth within two hours of the traffic stop, and both stated the children were present at the time. Both are being held at the Texas County jail with bail set at $200,000 each.
