Man, Woman & Child Hospitalized After Vehicle Swept Off Low Water Crossing

A couple and a 6 month old baby were taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia after the vehicle they were in was swept off a low water crossing. Thursday morning in Ozark county. The three spent several hours outside in temperatures below freezing wearing wet clothes. According to reports the three were swept off Haskins Ford  north of Isabella. The man and woman freed the baby from its car seat and swam to shore. They then saw lights on the opposite shore so the man swam across for help but was unable to walk when he made it across. A framer checking his cattle found the man and called for help. The Woman and baby were flown to a Springfield Hospital the man was taken to Springfield by ambulance. No names have been released.
