Today We Check Contested Races In Ozark County On April 2

The April 2nd general Municipal Elections are just a few weeks away now and we have been telling you about some of the contested races locally. Yesterday we told you about Oregon County and today we take a look at the contested races in Ozark County. those in the Ava School District will vote for two new board members to serve three year terms. There are four candidates, and they are, Rance Tanner Clark, Dan Johnson, Anna Gamboa and Brandi Kay Stanifer. In the Dora School district voters will vote for two board members and there are six candidates. They are Jay Smith, Lynda Smith, Jeff Strong, Tim Masters, Dan Hurd and Dustin Howard. There are a couple of propositions on the ballot in the Gainesville School District. The First ask that the School District be allowed to borrow money in the amount of $1.9 million for a multipurpose gym and issue bonds for payment thereof increasing the property tax levy $0.28. The second proposition ask that the school be authorized to increase the operating tax levy ceiling to $3.22 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation for capital improvements.
