MLB owners & the players association are getting closer to an agreement on a new season. Players proposed a new deal Sunday and yesterday owners agreed to parts but want a shorter season. The players proposed a 114 game season. Owners will give economics approval for a 82 game season. Both are ready to start play July 1st.
