Today Is Election Day In Missouri

Today is election day in Missouri and there are several contested races and hot issues we will be watching closely. In Howell County Ballot. In the City of West Plains, voters will be asked to vote on amendments to the Home Rule Charter and will pick a council person for a two-year term. The candidates are John Niesen and John W. “Johnny” Murrell. The Pomona Fire Protection District will vote of a board member for a 6 year term, the candidates are Larry Rothermich and Keith Schachel. In The Mountain View/Birch Tree School District patrons will pick three school board members, the candidates are Eric Wells, Keith Tharp, Shelly Mantel and Tina Woolsey. The City of Mountain View will choose a mayor and there are four candidates on the ballot. They are Paul O’Brien, Donnie Pruett, John Krasuski and Clint Elam. Voters in Mountain View will also vote on a $6 million water and sewer system revenue bond. Mountain View voters will also choose a west ward alderman. There are three candidates, Rick Thornton, Tom Poindexter and Punkie Stevenson. The Willow Springs School District will elect three school board members for three- year terms, the candidates are Adam Webb, Adrianne Mansfield, Amanda Hood, Matt Hobson and Brent Colley. Willow Springs Residents will also elect a ward 1 alderman, the candidates are Susan Rackley and Reggie Fulbright.

 

In Oregon County Health Department will elect two board members, the candidates are Judy Wright, Diana Clary and Duane Dawson. In Koshkonong voters will elect two alderman for a two year terms, the candidates are Keith Frealy, Mark Sanders and Hope Reed. In the Couch School District voters will be asked to decide on a 55 cent tax levy increase, for school maintenance and renovation projects and meeting the additional educational needs of the students. The will also elect three school board members, The candidates are Thomas Smith, Adam Crowder, James Brent Morgan and Luke Edward Fisher. In the Alton School district patrons will elect three board members, the candidates are Ricky Allen Henson, Jamie Sisco, Ryan Miller and Bart Kernodle. Alton residents will also elect two alderman for two year term, the candidates are Tom Young, Kody McIntire and Wesley Buckner. In Thayer voters will vote on whether or not to impose a local use tax at the same rate as the local sales tax, currently two percent. Thayer citizens will also elect an alderman for Ward II for a two year term. The candidates are Kem Trimble and Janice Tolar. Oregon County voters in the Winona School district will be asked to pick three school board members, the candidates are Steve Rightnowar, Chris Haynes, Gary Norris, Matt Kile and Kyle Martin.

 

 

In Ozark County where voters will decide on a local use tax at the same rate as the local sales tax, currently 2.5 percent. Voters in the Gainesville School District will elect three board members, the candidates are Marti Warden, Corey Hillhouse, Douglas Hawkins and Jeremy Kiger. Thornfield School district will elect three board members, the candidates are Travis Tucker, Rita Renee Graham, Terry Ewing, Donnie Cunningham, and William “Mitch” Cook. In the Ava School District voters will choose three board members, the candidates are Michael Stewart, Vernard Deathridge, Kenneth Fleetwood, Mark Henry, Troy Tredway, and Lowell Strong. Dora School District will also elect three school board members, the candidates are Lindsay Colliins, Jerry Moritz, Cassidy Martin and Mindy Trail.

In Douglas County voters in the Ava school district will vote on three school board members the candidates are Michael Stewart, Vernard Deathridge, Kenneth Fleetwood, Mark Henry, Troy Tredway, and Lowell Strong. In the Skyline School District voters will decide on Proposition 2, to increase the operating levy ceiling to $3.43 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation. The Mountain Grove School District will elect three board members and the candidates are Jeffery Holman, Mark Hyde, Shawna Plummer and Shannon Lee Shaner. In the Willow Springs School District they will elect three board members. The candidates are Adam Webb, Adrianne Mansfield, Amanda Hood, Matt Hobson and Brent Colley.

In Shannon County, Mountain View Birch Tree School District will elect three board members, the candidates are Eric Wells, Keith Tharp, Shelly Mantel and Tina Woolsey. In Birch Tree there are two candidates for Mayor, Merri Beth Trotter & Gordon Williamson. Birch Tree residents will also choose two aldermen for two year terms, the candidates are Joyce Neemann, Tramond Day, Gary Toy, Lester Nicholson. Eminence Residents will elect a mayor from four candidates, they are, Tina McQuerry, Doyle Conner, Margie Cleary and Brandon Imler. They will also elect an alderman, the candidates are Susan Orchard and Logan Goldschmidt. In the Winona School District they will choose three board members from 5 candidates, Steve Rightnowar, Chris Haynes, Gary Norris, Matt Kile and Kyle Martin. In Winona residents will vote on proposition A, which ask voters if the city will impose a sales tax of one percent. In the Southern Reynolds County School District they will elect three board members. The candidates are Beth Buford, Phillip Roberts, Frank Roderman and Justin Morey. In the Oak Hills School District voters will elect three board members, the candidates are Michael Connors, Jonathan Hoffman, Sarah Hoffman, Nikki Eaton, Allison Parks, and Duane Blackwell. In the Summersville School District they will elect three school board members, the candidates are Nathan Cooper, Chance Johnson, Cody Bryant, Priscilla Bradshaw, Keith Keller, Jeff Atchison, Max Racicot, and Dustin Bell.

In Texas County, residents in the Mountain Grove School District will choose three school board members, the candidates are Jeffery Holman, Mark Hyde, Shawna Plummer, and Shannon Lee Shaner. In the Summersville School District they will elect three school board members, the candidates are Nathan Cooper, Chance Johnson, Cody Bryant, Priscilla Bradshaw, Keith Keller, Jeff Atchison, Max Racicot, and Dustin Bell In the Willow Springs School District voters will elect three school board members. The candidates are Adam Webb, Adrianne Mansfield, Amanda Hood, Matt Hobson, and Brent Colley. In The Mountain View Birch Tree School District will elect three board members, the candidates are Eric Wells, Keith Tharp, Shelly Mantel and Tina Woolsey. In the Plato School District they will elect three school board members, the candidates are Diana Atterberry, Brea Fletcher, Andrew Cook, Paula Cantrell and Damon Michael Yourchisin. In the Licking School District voters will also elect three board members, the candidates are Mark McLeod, Alan Quick, Jason Stone, Colton Lewis, Debbie Cook, and Andrea Sullins. In Cabool residents will elect a mayor, the candidates are Danny Cannon and Donnie Wells. The City of Cabool will also vote on a half cent sales tax for transportation.

In Ripley County, voters will decide on a use tax at the same rate as their local law enforcement and general revenue sales tax. They will also vote on a question for the Ripley County hospital district to abolish the county wide retail sales tax, domestic utilities sales tax and local utilities sales tax on one percent. To provide revenue for the operation of the Hospital. The Ripley County Ambulance district will vote on proposition one, so the district can impose a sales tax of one half of one percent for the purpose of providing revenues for operation of the Ripley County Ambulance district. In the Doniphan School District residents will choose three school board members, the candidates are James David Maple, Deborah Lathum, Jane Marie Stilwell, Stephanie Burke and Devin Kirby. In the Naylor School District the voters will elect three school board members, the candidates are J. Will Spargo, Brian Cannon, Eric Crawford and Ryan Ainley. The East Carter School district will elect one board member to fill a one year term, the candidates are Becky Mae Fishler and Carl Mullen II. In the Neelyville School District residents will pick three school board members, the candidates are Derek Emmons, Zachary Shipman, Justin David Blaird, Robert Burgett, Chuck Reinbolt, Terry William Wilkerson Jr, Robert Dean Fisher, Paul Petty and Shane Eaker.
