The Arkansas State Police are investigating a possible homicide in Independence County. According to the report from the ASP a body was discovered inside an apartment in Newark on Tuesday. Special agents from the ASP Criminal Investigation Division were requested by the Independence County Sheriff’s Department. The victim’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the victim’s identity and the cause of his death. One person has been detained for questioning.
