Halloween is just a couple of weeks away now and there have a lot of questions about if local city would allow trick or treating. ECNN talked to Thayer Mayor Ken Cotham

Several other area towns will also be allowing trick or treating on the 31st.   The City of West Plains will allow trick-or-treating on Halloween, October 31. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, city officials are asking trick-or-treaters to observe good hygiene practices, carry hand sanitizer, stay with your immediate family or very small groups, wear a mask, and social distance.

City officials are also recommending trick-or-treating between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on October 31 and only visiting known acquaintances and houses with porch lights on, avoid dark areas, and wear reflective clothing. Please use caution as you travel around town on Halloween and keep an eye out for trick-or-treaters.
