One person died and another suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Wright County. The Highway Patrol reports that 84-year-old Franklin Lawson of Mountain Grove was killed and 45-year-old Kelly Hoots of Mountain Grove suffered serious injuries when, the vehicles they were driving hit near the centerline on highway 95. Hoots was flown to Cox South in Springfield. Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened about 10 miles north of Mountain Grove around 12:30 Saturday afternoon.
