A man from Ava was injured in an accident south of Mansfield Monday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that 21-year-old Jonah smith suffered moderate injuries when he lost traction on an ice-covered roadway, drove of the road and hit an embankment and overturned. Smith was taken to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on highway 5 about 6 miles south of Mansfield around 4 Monday morning.
