Thayer First Baptist Church All services in March are cancelled.

Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church has suspended services until April 5th. They will have sermons available live online on their Facebook page.

First Baptist Church In West Plains will not be having services in person on Sundays and Wednesdays through April 5th. They will have Sunday service online live on their facebook page and website, Sunday March 22nd, 29th and April 5th at 10:30 am

The Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Alton has cancelled all services until April 5th.

7th Day Adventist in Mammoth Spring will have no services through the week or distribute on Wednesdays until further notice

Alton Assembly of God all services cancelled until Wednesday April 1st, 202o

MAR.22 DUE TO COVID-19, ALTON FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH WILL ABIDE BY RESTRICTING ANY GATHERING AT CHURCH TO 10 OR LESS AND THE SERMON WILL BE ON WWW.altonfwb.org as usual. Watch for what will be on Facebook also.

The Benefit Pie and Chilli Supper on Saturday  April 4th for the Koshkonong Fire Department has been postponed until a later date, yet to be determined.

West Plains High School is unable to host Prom and graduation on the original dates of April 18th and May 8th. Both events are very special so we have moved the dates to June. Prom will be held on Friday, June 5 at the West Plains Civic Center Exhibit Hall from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 6 at the West Plains Civic Center at 7:00 p.m. We are looking forward to sharing both Prom and Graduation with you. We will post more details as soon as we have them.

The Mammoth Spring School District has opened up free public wifi from 6 am to 10 pm daily in our high school and elementary parking lots. No password is required but the state filter will still be in effect.

 

All West Plains Schools kindergarten screenings & preschool enrollments are postponed. When new dates are determined, The schools will announce the information for you.

 

At the recommendation of local, state and national public health officials regarding no large gatherings over 10 people during the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the President extending the six-foot social distancing guidelines through April, the West Plains Public Library, Jimmie Carroll Sports Complex/West Plains Parks & Recreation, West Plains Civic Center, Ozark Heritage Welcome Center, and the West Plains Senior Center will be CLOSED to the public until 11:59 pm Wednesday, April 15, unless further action is needed to expand the closures. While we recognize this decision affects many citizens in our community, our top priority is the health and well-being of the community, along with public safety. Please know this is a rapidly-changing situation that requires frequent evaluation, and we will continue to follow the guidelines of national and local public health officials as this situation develops. In the meantime, please call West Plains City Hall at 417-256-7176, with any questions during this time.

 

The Annual E-Communications Spring Gospel Concert has been postponed until Sept. 12th at the Thayer High School.  This years event will feature The Gold City Quartet.

 

Community Foundation of the Ozarks offices will be closed to the public until further notice. We will be responding to emails and phone calls during normal business hours throughout this closure. To mitigate the spread of the COVID 19, CFO has cancelled all work-related travel. The Old-Time Music-Ozarks Heritage Festival in West Plains has been Cancelled for June 5 & 6, and will not be rescheduled this year.

 

Remote Area Medical has officially POSTPONED the Alton, MO clinic until further notice, due to the current COVID-19/coronavirus health crisis.  RAM hopes to reschedule the Alton, MO clinic later in 2020.

 

The 81st Annual meeting of Members for Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative May 1st has been postponed until July 21st

 

OMC Foundation Gospel Event April 17th at Civic Center is postponed until a later date.

 

All events at OzSBI are postponed through May 8th

 

The BB Road VFD and Community Center Fish fry scheduled for April 25, has been canceled

 

37th Judicial Circuit Presiding judge Steven Privett announced that they will suspend all in person proceedings trough April 3rd. This includes municipal, or city court. The clerk’s office will remain open for filing of adult abuse and child protection restraining orders and other emergency matters.

 

The Sharp County Courthouse is closed to the public with the exception of probate filings in the clerk’s office. All business can be conducted by phone, email or online.

 

The Fulton County Courthouse in Salem is closed to the public until further notice. You can conduct some of your business via phone, mail or email.

 

Fulton County Sheriff’s Department has suspended visits from friends and family for inmates at Fulton County jail. There will be no admittance to the jail by outside agencies, there will be no fingerprinting for the public. No one other than employees can enter the jail

 

The West Plains Cystic Fibrosis Concert featuring Joe Nichols  has been Rescheduled for May 23,  2020.  If you bought tickets for the March 21st date…hold on to them, they WILL BE honored.

 

The West Plains Chamber Of Commerce April meeting has been canceled.

 

Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol announces beginning immediately today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is suspending driver road testing at all locations.

The City Of West Plains, announces that the West Plains Public Library, Jimmie Carrol Sports complex/West Plains parks & Recreation, West Plains Civic Center, Welcome Center and West Plains Senior Center will be closed through March 31.

 

Salem Arkansas City hall is closed to the public until further notice, water customers can pay their bill with the drop box in front of City Hall. For new water connects call 870-895-3478
