A man from Thayer was killed in a three-vehicle accident south of Koshkonong Friday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that 49-year-old Gary Phipps had stopped to make a turn and was hit from the rear by a Truck driven by 36-year-old Matthew Carson of Pocahontas, Phipps was then ejected from his vehicle onto the roadway and was then hit by a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Amanda Williams of Paragould. Phipps was killed in the accident. The accident happened on highway 63 about three miles south of Koshkonong and traffic was blocked for several hours while emergency crews were on the scene.
