The man accused of killing a woman from an Izard County cold case in 2004 has been scheduled to go on trial next year.

Court records state that William Miller was in the Izard County Circuit Court Wednesday and the trial was continued to February 16-18.

Hearings for the case will be held on November 5th and 8th for a discussion of pending motions, any motion to suppress evidence, and any motion dealing with witnesses has to be filed by December 31.

Miller was arrested in November of 2020 for the murder of Rebekah Gould.

The probable cause affidavit said that Miller entered Gould’s residence to use the phone, Miller pretended to use the phone and Gould went back to her bedroom, that’s when Miller struck Gould multiple times with a piano leg.

Miller wrapped the body in a blanket, put it in his truck, and dumped the body on a highway outside of Melbourne.
