FULTON COUNTY (ECNN) – The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man for failure to register charges.

According to court documents filed in the county on Friday, Chief Deputy Jake Smith was notified by a citizen that 60-year-old Lester Hendrix was at the Viola Library using the internet to look at inappropriate material.

Chief Smith arrived and found Hendrix in the library.

When Hendrix saw Smith approaching, he turned his tablet face down.

Smith then asked what he was looking at, and he complied and showed him.

He could see that he was looking at pornography and using the chat site that Hendrix had been arrested for in the past.

Hendrix was then transported to the Fulton County Detention Center for questioning.

During an interview, Hendrix stated that he had been looking at porn.

He was asked if the device was registered with his sex offender office, and he replied that it wasn’t.

He also said the email he was using was not registered as well.

According to registry requirements, a registered sex offender is required to register all devices capable of accessing the internet, as well as registering all social media platforms, including email addresses.

Hendrix is charged with two felony counts for failure to register as a sex offender or report an address change.

His bond was set at $5,000.
