According to Chief Deputy Jake Smith, on January 26, at about 4pm, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office received information that, Timothy Dover Jr. was in the Agnos area.

Dover was a parole absconder and had been in hiding from Sharp County since July 2, 2021.

He had a felony warrant and nation-wide extradition. A Fulton County Deputy, along with a Parole and Probation officer went to the area where Dover was reported to be.

Dover was spotted walking between Highway 62 and a wooded area. When Dover spotted the Deputy, he fled into the woods.

With the aid of the Arkansas State Police, and the City of Salem, a light search was conducted.

The North Central Unit Dog Team was called in to assist a short time later. After several hours the search was called off.

The following morning, the Sheriff’s Office received a call that a person matching Dover’s description was seen again, still in the same area.

Fulton County Deputies, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Patrol, and Parole and Probation, returned to the area to pick up the search again.

The North Central Unit Dog Team was called again, and arrived very soon after.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office provided a helicopter as well. With the assistance of residents of the area, Dover’s location was narrowed down.

Officers were able to envelope the area and surround Dover, trapping him between at least one representative of each agency.

After a brief foot chase, Dover was apprehended in creek bed between Old Peace Valley Road and The Day Road.

The Fulton County Sheriffs Office would like to thank all the agencies involved.
