Houston, MO authorities discover three dead in home

Police confirmed late Thursday evening that three people were found dead on Sommerfield Drive in Houston. 

Multiple organizations are involved in the investigation, but police say the public is not in any danger. 

Details are scarce at this time, but we expect to learn more sometime this afternoon.


UPDATE 8:03 am (1-28-22):

New details have been released regarding the shooting in Houston, MO overnight.

According to a press release from the Houston Police Department, at 7:55 pm on Thursday evening, Houston Officers were called to the 800 block of Sommerfield Drive to assist EMS with an unresponsive male.

Upon arrival, Officers discovered the male subject, later identified as 66-year-old Gregory Pardun, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Upon further investigation, Officers found two other subjects inside the residence deceased from gunshot wounds.

Those subjects were identified as 57-year-old Deborah German and 16-year-old Benjamin Pardun.

Officials say the investigation indicates the incident was a murder-suicide.

Investigators believe that Gregory Pardun shot and killed the two subjects before turning the gun on himself.

The public is not believed to be in any danger at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Assistance was provided by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Houston Fire Department, and Texas County Coroners Office.
