The Howell County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a West Plains man in connection with a shooting incident. Brandon Childress is charged with second-degree aggravated assault, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and property damage. Saturday morning the Howell County Dispatch was advised of a shooting incident that had occurred on State Route KK near Pottersville, Mo. Deputies responded to a secondary location in West Plains and made contact with a male victim with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Deputies began an investigation and identified a suspect. Deputies located and arrested Brandon J. Childress of West Plains in connection with the shooting. Childress was taken to Howell County Detention Center and the bond was set at $250,000.
