The Highway Patrol reports that 57-year-old Jeffry Braeutigam of Collinsville Illinois suffered serious injuries when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road, down an embankment, and hit several trees. Braeutigam was flown to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on County Road 607, two miles north of Pontiac.
