The top seeded Thayer Bobcats survived a scare in the semi-finals of the Class 2 District 3 tournament in Van Buren last night. Senior Jalen Andrews threw in 14 second half points as the Bobcats rallied from 9 points down in the 3rd quarter to beat #4 Ellington 47-42, and advance to the District 3 title game Thursday night. The Bobcats will play #2 seeded Neelyville in the championship game, the Tigers beat Winona in their semi-final match up last night 58-50.
Tonight is the ladies semi-finals at the Class 2 District 3 tournament at Van Buren. #4 Alton will battle top seeded Neelyville at 6:00, #2 Thayer will tangle with #3 Van Buren at 7:30. Both games are set for broadcast on K-Kountry 95 radio.
