EEO/Public File

It is the policy of E-Communications LLC., Radio Stations KAMS, KALM, KHOM and KBMV to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex in all personnel actions including recruitment, evaluation, selection, promotion, compensation, training and termination.

It is also our policy to promote the realization of equal employment opportunity through positive, continuing programs of specific practices designed to insure the full realization of equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex.

To make this policy effective, and to ensure conformance with the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission, we have adopted an Equal Employment Opportunity Program, which was instated effective March 10, 2003.  A full description of pertinent job openings and recruitment procedures may be found in our public file.

For the period October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021, KAMS/KALM/KHOM/KBMV hired two full time employees.  (news director and administrative assistant)

The administrative assistant position was filled in January of 2021 and the news director position was filled in July 2021. The administrative assistant hired was Nancy King and the news director hired was Hayden Savage.   We reviewed applications we had on file, plus we conducted a search using our outreach efforts we promised with on-air, social media, hiring centers and web site. The administrative assistant was a distressed situation as the previous employee left with no notice leaving us very distressed in this department and no one on staff to fill this position. This applicant came by direct contact.  The news director position was publicized on-air, social media, web site as well as newspaper listings.  The person hired was a part-time employee with journalism experience.
