The four people arrested in Shannon County following the drug bust that confiscated more than a pound of meth, have now been identified and charged. Ricky Sanders of Birch Tree is charged with trafficking and maintaining a public nuisance. Matthew and Jozy Bates of Alton are each charged with felony trafficking drugs and Charissa Kelly of Mtn. View is also charged with felony trafficking drugs.
A search warrant was served by the Shannon County Sheriff’s Dept. Sunday where a pound and a quarter of meth was seized along with several firearms, drug paraphernalia and the items needed to weigh and package drugs for distribution. Charissa Kelly, Matthew Bates and Jozy Bates are held on a $150,000 cash-only bond each. Ricky Sanders is held on a $175,000 cash bond. Assisting in the served warrant was The South-Central Drug Task Force, Shannon County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and West Plains/Howell County SWAT Team.
