Wright County authorities have confirmed the body found Wednesday in a barn outside of Hartville is that of 47 yr old Varian Sawyers of Hartville. Sawyers was last seen Jan 22nd leaving a cousin’s house on foot and was supposedly going to his parents’ house about a half mile away, but he never arrived. Reports were that Sawyers was intoxicated and suffered from depression. The positive identification was made by the Medical examiner’s office in Springfield. No trauma was found or foul play suspected.
