Congratulations are in order for Missouri State University-West Plains Sophomore point guard Ricky Torres…he has been named 1st team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association, becoming the 15th Grizzly to receive that honor. Torres is MSU-West Plains all-time assist leader, and holds the records for most assist in a season, and in one game.

The St. Louis Cardinals completed a 4 game sweep of the Reds at Great American Ballpark yesterday with a 3-2 win. Carlos Martinez pitched 7 innings of shut-out ball and Harrison Bader homered as the Cards improved to 9-7 on the year. The Cardinals head to Wriggly Field to play the Cubs tonight. Adam Wainwright will be on the hill for the Redbirds.
The Kansas City Royals game with the Angels was postponed due to weather in K.C. yesterday. The Royals will go to Toronto to open a series with the Blue Jays tonight.
