Ryan found Guilty

60 yr old Angaline Ryan of WP has been found guilty by a Texas County Jury. The verdict was handed down yesterday when jurors decided Ryan was guilty of felony first degree assault and felony armed criminal action.  the conviction stems from Ryan shooting her former daughter-in-law, Tammy Hathcock in April of 2015. According to statements, Ryan was angry at Hathcock for divorcing her son. Hathcock was shot 7 times by Ryan shot had ambushed her in her own driveway.  Amazingly, Hathcock was able to get into her car and drive to nearby Fairview Elementary School to seek help.  The school immediately went into lockdown at that time.  At the time, Hathcock was the director of the Drury University campuses in West Plains and Thayer.  She survived her wounds and has since changed her name and moved from the area.  Sentencing for Angaline Ryan will take place in the Texas County court in Houston at 1 pm  July 17th.
