The St. Louis Cardinals open a huge 4 game series in Milwaukee tonight. The Cards trail the Brewers, who are tied with the Cubs for 1st place in the N.L. Central, by 4 ½ games. Carlos Martinez will start for the Redbirds in game one. St. Louis is coming off a loss at Philly yesterday and lost 2 of 3 in the hard fought series.
The Kansas City Royals have lost their 9th straight game, losing to the Texas Rangers 3-2 last night at Kauffman. Mike Moustakas homered for the Royals in the loss. KC takes a day off today and will open a 3 game series with the red-hot Houston Astros on Friday.
