A Mammoth Spring Man Is Charged With Threatening A Judge

A Mammoth Spring man was arrested after allegedly threatening a judge.  According to the  probable cause affidavit, 60 year old Richard Raines was in jail in June on a contempt charge, and was sentenced to 6 months by Judge Don McSpadden. Last week the Sheriff and his deputies went to Raines Home and Seized cattle and a car that he was ordered to forfeit in divorce settlement. When he went to the jail and told Raines what he did Raines allegedly became angry and threatening to go to The Judges house and take care of him. Raines is now charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening of a judicial officer. His bond was set at $50,000 and he was ordered to have no contact with his ex-wife or Judge McSpadden.
