A Salem Arkansas man who was the fire chief at Morriston has been arrested for stealing from the fire department. 37 year old Joseph Samples is accused of taking a check from the Morriston Fire Department and using it to buy a 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Samples allegedly admitted to taking the check to buy the motorcycle and that he had also taken other property from the Fire Department. He was arrested on a bench warrant for theft of property. Samples bond was set at $5,000. He will be in court September 5th.
