The City Of West Plains Gets A $1.8 Million Grant

The City Of West Plains has been awarded $1.8 million grant from the U.S Department of Economic Development Administration for it’s Storm water Detention Basin. The money will be used to construct storm water detention basins for the Burton Branch, South Fork of Howell Creek and Galloway Creek.  The EDA says that the Grant may bring in as much as $4 million in private investments and create or retain up to 225 jobs. The State of Missouri wil match the grant with $725,000. The City applied for the grant last year.
