Authorities in Izard County are searching for a man from Melbourne in connection with a shooting Thursday afternoon in Sage. The Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence in Sage just after 5 p.m for a reported shooting. A male subject was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Department is looking for 19 year old Jonathan Torres, who is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a red Chevy truck unknown year but may be a 4 door. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Torres should call 911 or the Sheriff’s Department at 870-358-4203, authorities say do not approach him.
