Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Reports The Arrest Of A Man From Squires

On January 9, 2021, at approximately 12:02 pm, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call stating that a gray Dodge truck had hit the side of the building at Hucklebucks and then drove off. The gray Dodge was being followed by the reporting party and stated that the truck was on CO RD 519 headed towards PP Hwy. Sheriff Degase located the gray Dodge and was able to initiate a traffic stop on PP Highway. The driver, George Crane, 47, from Squires, MO, stated that he had been drinking. Deputy Schupbach performed field sobriety tests at the traffic stop. George Crane was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked/suspended, and for operating a motor vehicle of another without insurance. Mr. Crane was transported to Douglas County Jail.
