A Disaster declaration for 14 AR Counties has been issued by Gov Asa Hutchinson following the severe storms, flooding and tornadoes that occurred last month in parts of the state. Randolph County is listed in those 14 counties. The declaration will help provide assistance to those affected. Flooding is the most dangerous weather hazard that Arkansans face each year according to the National Weather Service.
This is also Flood Safety/Awareness Week in Arkansas. It runs today through Friday. Each day will be information on how to be prepared in the event of flooding-what to watch for-what to understand-how to protect yourself and your family. Today is Preparedness and Awareness Day.
