Wild Fire Danger is still a threat even though many areas received rain over the weekend-AR has several counties under burn bans.  If you are not sure about your area, there’s two major things you can do to be sure before you set that fire- 1st, is the wind blowing-if the answer is yes, then no, don’t burn right now.  The 2nd is call you’re local fire or police station or city hall and ask. Always check if you’re in doubt before burning.

Good news for residents who live in Mtn Home, Harrison and Batesville- according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security, you’re living in one of the safest cities in AR.  The council ranks cities throughout the national annually based on the rate of crime for those with a population over 10,000.  Mtn Home just missed being in the Top 10, they came in at #11 and Harrison ranked 15th in Top 20.  Other cities in the Top count are Centerton, Bentonville, Cabot, Maumelle, Magnolia, Siloam Springs, Malvern and Rogers who holds the #10 spot.
