Due to several wildfires the end of last week in the Viola and Geep areas, Fulton County Judge Darrell Zimmer has issued a Burn Ban in Fulton County until further notice. Cherokee Village has also been placed under a Burn Ban. Until substantial rainfall is received, absolutely do not do any burning outdoors. We are expecting and receiving rain in much of the listening area today and possibly through out the week, but again, one rainfall is not sufficient for what is needed to prevent fires from getting out of hand. Before you burn, contact your city hall or local fire station and ask.
