It’s opening day of the Major League Baseball season for the both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals.
The Royals will open at home this afternoon with the Chicago White Sox, a 3:15 start with Danny Duffey on the mound. The Royals will open the season without All-Star catcher Salvador Perez. He will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.
The St. Louis Cardinals will open on the road, at Citifield in New York with the Mets. Carlos Martinez gets the opening day start for the Cardinals.
