The Sharp County Sheriff’s Department along with other neighboring state and county officers are continuing their search for 44 yr old Jessie Leon Hutchins of Cave City. Hutchins is wanted in connection with a shooting that happened last Friday evening at a residence where he is accused of shooting a man in the knees and buttocks. It’s not known if the two men know each other. According to a report, the victim had gone to a house to sell a dog and Hutchins is alleged to have come around the side of the house with a gun and shouted something to the effect of “I’ve got you now!” and shot the man in his knees. As he was attempting to run from the property, Hutchins alleged shot him again in his buttocks. Law enforcement stated that caution should be used should you see Jessie Hutchins. Hutchins stands 6’1” weighs 170 lbs. and has brown hair and green eyes. It’s not known what he was wearing when the shooting took place. Do not attempt to approach or confront Hutchins, call your local police or sheriff’s office and report anything you might feel would lead police to his capture.
