The WP firefighter injured while battling a house fire on Texas Street yesterday morning is not as serious as first thought. Firefighter Shawn Brice was first believed to have broken his wrist when he fell a few feet from a ladder landing on his wrist, but after examination at OMC it was confirmed that Brice has a bad sprain, not a break. The house located at 711 Texas Street was a complete loss. How the fire started is still under investigation but it is thought to have been electrical. Firefighters arrived on the scene around 8 am and remained on the scene until nearly 1 pm.
