In area high school baseball the West Plains Zizzers improve to 5-2 on the season with an 11-1 win over Nixa yesterday. The Zizzers tangle with Rolla on the road this afternoon.
Elsewhere on the schedule today…Thayer will travel to Ava, Alton plays state ranked Eminence on the road. The Mammoth Spring Bears will play at home with I.C.C.. Couch travels to Winona, Mountain Grove at Willow Springs, Houston at Cabool and Mountain View/Birch Tree Liberty will be at home with Salem.
Also on the local sports schedule for today. West Plains girls track team will travel to Glendale. West Plains golf will play in the MSU/Payne Stewart tournament in Springfield, and West Plains Tennis will play at home with Branson.
