Another scam is making the rounds in the West Plains area and its pulling on the heartstrings of Zizzer fans. Lana Snodgrass, Public Relations Director for WP R-7 Schools announced on social media yesterday that a person is making calls to area businesses stating they are selling advertising for Zizzer athletics and the individual also states they are calling on behalf of West Plains Schools. This is fraudulent as WP Schools is not making calls to raise any funds. Snodgrass also stated the number showing on caller ID is a Texas number. Regretfully some businesses did fall for the scam.
