A traffic stop in Ava resulted in getting between $6000 and $8000 in suspected marijuana off the streets. The actions conducted by the unnamed woman driving the vehicle led officers to believe illegal drugs could be in the vehicle. The Douglas County Sheriff’s department K9 located the marijuana, just over 3 pounds of it. The woman was taken into custody and was held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s office on a 24 hour hold.
