Thayer’s new Postmaster Travis Howard was sworn in this morning by West Plains Postmaster Joann Carter. A nice crowd of Postal workers and staff along with local citizens and Mayor Ken Cotham, Police chief Daryl Childers, Fire Chief Mark Arnold stood in witness and enjoyed refreshments following Howard’s swearing into the position. He’s a high achiever, having only worked for the United States Postal Service since March 2015 and is now Thayer Postmaster. Everyone wishes him many long and happy years serving the Thayer community.
