The St. Louis Cardinals completed a 2 game sweep of the Chicago White Sox at Busch Stadium yesterday, with a 3-2 win. Carlos Martinez earned his 3rd win, and also hit his first major league home run. The Cards have the day off today, and open a weekend series with the Cubs Friday night at Busch.
The Kansas City Royals lost to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park yesterday 5-4. Danny Duffy gave up 5 runs in 6 innings and was tagged with his 4th loss. Mookie Betts hit 3 solo homers for the Sox. K.C. is back in action tonight at Kauffman Stadium with the Detroit Tigers.
