Several People Have been Injured In Accidents This Holiday Weekend

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been busy this weekend with several accidents.

A Rogersville Couple was injured in an accident Saturday afternoon east of Ava. The Highway patrol says that 56 year old Danny Cutbirth of Ava ran a stop sign and hit the motorcycle that 61 year old Chester Eastland of Rogersville was driving. Eastland and his passenger, 59 year old Joyce Eastland both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Cutbirth was cited for DWI, careless and imprudent driving, no seatbelt and no valid insurance.

An accident Saturday afternoon west of Mountain Grove left a Mountain Grove man with serious injuries. 33 year old Adam Bashor was injured when he drove off the road and hit a fence. The accident happened around 12:30 Saturday afternoon, on highway N about 5 miles west of Mountain Grove.

A Mountain Grove man suffered moderate injuries when he drove off the road and hit a bridge rail and guardrail. 72 year old James Miller was taken to Texas County Hospital in Houston. Miller was driving a Mack Truck and had the road blocked for a while Saturday afternoon. The accident happened on highway 63 at Hodge Creek about 4 miles south of Houston.
